HOW TO WATCH THE 2026 NFL PRESEASON IN THE UK AND IRELAND

The New York Jets kick off their 2026 preseason on Friday 14th August, welcoming the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to MetLife Stadium. The two teams have played out joint practices in New Jersey this week, and Jets head coach Aaron Glenn has confirmed that the starters will play in the preseason curtain raiser. The game kicks off at midnight Friday night/Saturday morning UK time, giving Jets fans their first chance to glimpse the newest players in on-field action.
One of the stars of joint practices was David Bailey. The 2nd overall pick has wasted no time in showing his sizeable potential, earning some dominant wins in positional drills and pressuring Bucs QB Baker Mayfield consistently in team drills and scrimmages. He is expected to get playing time on Friday night when he will try to continue to display his all-around skillset ahead of his rookie season.
Among the other defensive stars who will make their Jets debut on Friday, Minkah Fitzpatrick has made some eye-catching plays during Training Camp, whilst veterans Demario Davis and David Onyemata will look to guide the younger members of the unit towards stronger results in 2026.
On the offensive side, the Jets return a relatively similar unit to 2025, with the major change coming at signal caller. Geno Smith will be QB1, ably supported by rookie Cade Klubnik. Both can be expected to get significant reps, whilst a fit-again Braelon Allen will look to make his presence felt behind Breece Hall. Rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr will be looking forward to showing off his dynamism after the catch, as he builds chemistry with his new quarterback.
